As an organization, we are committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle through education and physical activity.  The VA Runner Cross Country Running Camp provides us with the opportunity to introduce running as well as promote and teach healthy lifestyle habits to younger students. 

The camp is intended for all levels of capability.  A runner must have completed the 7^th grade to be eligible to participate.  The goals of the camp are two-fold.  We will prepare the runners for the following competitive, cross country season by increasing their running knowledge, stamina, strength, and speed so that they can become better as well as smarter student-athletes. We hope to achieve such goal through conditioning programs/workouts, weekly evaluations, group discussions on health and running related topics, as well as subject presentations.  The other goal of the camp is to introduce the participants to other area runners; thus, building a stronger running community and increasing the love for the sport.

Fees

The cost of the camp is $200 for county residents and $210 for non-county residents. The entire fee for the four week camp is due by the end of the first week of camp, 28 June 2013.  Make Checks Payable to: Spotsylvania County Parks and Recreation
